The first thing that catches my attention in this photo is how the sky is reflected from the sand, and how the detail in the sand adds to this 'reflected image'. The sky itself is just as eye-catching, I really like how the clouds in some places appear to be soft and wispy and in others bolder and thicker. The golden-yellow of the sunset contrasts to the blue sky, making the image stand out. The sharp focus of the sand is great, but then so is the softer appearance of the sky in comparison.
I like how the sun is only partle visible through the clouds and also how it's light falls onto the rocks in the forground. The shadows that are cast are very rich and are surrounded by a golden reflection that not only brings out, but includes detail in itself. The light and dark in this photo works very well, the white foamy 'froth' in the forground really contrasts to the sand under it, I like how you can see the small 'streams' that have been carved by the backwash of the waves.
The setting is beautiful and I'm really jealous I wasn't there to take a photo myself! Really well captured, I'd really like to see some more photos like this on DA. Keep them coming!
I've finished BioShock 2. It's cool, but I think the first one was better... In the first one everything was new for you, the first time in Rapture, you didn't know anything about the place you were trapped, but, anyway, it's cool aswell, play it if you can!
Thanks very much for the compliments. The circumstances were just perfect and I only took advantage of the situation
At first I thought it was strange you called me 'mate', because I thought you were a woman but then I went to your page and noticed you're male lol. Just noticed I've faved many of your shots before and I just added a couple more. Your gallery is pure inspiration and I just love the diversity
