I hope you and your loved ones will have a wonderful holiday season despite the tough times you have faced in the past few weeks and are facing at this moment. I wish you and your family a happy, healthy and inspirational 2010!

This shot is taken from Duindorp, Den Haag/The Hague, Netherlands. It's only a few minutes away from my new home and it's typically one of those spots where I can just force out some inspiration even when I feel like shit. FYI, I wasn't feeling like shit when I took this shot, but it was like -1 degree celsius. Brrrrrrrr

First off, this is F**king amazing shot, perfect angle, perfect detail, perfect lighting, and taking it from the shallow end makes it look even better.

The cloud form and the sun are in a perfect spot, ofcourse you didn't do that, but the timing of the sun for it to almost be set, and the waves coming in nice and smoothly while the tide is out to make the rocks show greater effect over the shallowness of the water.

For once I actually don't have anything to pick on for a critique, this is a definitely deserved 5/5 for all stars, as it is a great impact of a shot, the originality is spectacular as I don't believe ANYONE could get a shot that looked like this, the technique was basically explained above, as was the vision.

In conclusion, this is an epic show of photography, and I'd LOVE for you to give me a comment back and I'll be sure to critique anymore shots, if they're as fabulous as this.

What a stunning photograph! It is difficult to put into words how perfect this photo is, as there is nothing that I can find about it that I would improve.

The height of the sun above the horizon is absolutely perfect, and its placement within the frame draws the eye right away. The setting is also stunning, with light clouds to capture rays above and the sea to reflect rays below. The vignetting is superb, it wonderfully frames the overall shot and helps direct the eye towards the perfectly flaring sun near the center. The overall tone of the photograph is an amazing blend of both warm tones around the sun and its reflection, to cooler tones around the periphery.

Exquisite work! I love photographs of coast lines, and have viewed more than many the past year. This one trumps them all. Thank you very much!
